June 9th – Talk and mini workshop - Fiddle Fingers Quilts - Judy Harris


July 14th – AGM and Summer Supper Party

Butterflies and Buns! Saturday 05 October at Julia Shay's house in Eynsham. - An event organised by Julia in response to the challenge given to Quilt Guild members by the QG President.  The QG is 40 years old in 2019 and members are challenged to raise £40 for the 40 years to go towards the QG education fund.  Julia has devised a quilt in response to the Red House quilt, chosen by the QG as the iconic quilt of the anniversary.Full details of how you can help Julia reach her £40 target by making a block for the quilt will be given at the first Buttercross meeting on 10 September, or contact Julia on juliashay7@gmail.com 07816 168074

Project Linus information:


Margaret Metcalfe and Ani Catt are collecting quilts for Project Linus as follows:


Incubator covers for the SCBU at the JR - 33" x 55"


Quilts for children/teenagers - 40" square upwards (to single bed)


Covers/quilts should be made from cotton fabric and then wadded or backed with fleece.  There should be no frills or furbelows! (i.e. all machine stitched, no buttons, ribbons, bells ...)


Also required are :


Breast pump bags - 13" x 9" with a long cross body strap.


"Wiggly" bags (for Hickman lines worn by children on oncology ward) - 4" square with 2 cotton tapes one from each top corner, at least 18" long.
