Buttercross Quilters Witney
Buttercross Quilters Witney

Welcome to Buttercross Quilters Witney

About us

We are a friendly group of quilters who have been meeting in the West Oxfordshire town of Witney since 1983. We meet on the second Tuesday of the month (excluding August) from 7.30 - 9.30pm in the Upper Hall, Methodist Church, Witney, OX28 6HG. Group members range from complete beginners to more experienced quilters hailing from Witney as well as Carterton, Bampton, Eynsham, Freeland and Yarnton. We aim to share our skills within the group, at the same time developing and extending our skills. It's also a wonderful place to make new friends.

We enjoy a variety of exciting events with guest speakers, quilt workshops, projects, charity quilts and trips to quilt displays. We usually exhibit our quilts and embroidery work bi-annually in Witney. Upcoming events, exhibitions and workshops can be seen on the Programme page. Annual membership is £35 with the membership year starting in September. If you wish to attend a meeting as a visitor, please use the group email to contact us first so that we can make sure you receive a warm welcome.

Have a look at our News, Events and Blog page to see what we've been doing lately - and why not check out our latest quilts and exhibitions in our Gallery?
